The programme looks at the context of HR in business alongside sound knowledge of employment law, recruitment & selection and performance management.

An innovative assessment structure is in place which promotes both the understanding of academic principles and the application of skills. Assessment is by means of skills assessment, projects, case assignments and exams.


The programme assists graduates in gaining associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).  A separate membership fee must be paid directly to CIPD. To gain associate membership students may be required to complete a work based assessment with the CIPD. 

Graduates of the Certificate in HRM will gain module exemptions from the BA in Human Resource Management with the National College of Ireland.
