FETAC Communications

This course offers learners an opportunity to reflect on the nature of human communication and on their own individual competence as communicators. It encourages learners who may already be practised and experienced communicators to explore ways of developing and refining existing skills to their full potential, in both professional and private life.

  • 10 weeks
  • One evening per week
  • 7 - 9:30pm

Entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements however learners should preferably have a good working knowledge of English, have a leaving certificate or equivalent qualification and / or relevant life and work experiences.

Assessments

 
All assessments are carried out in accordance with FETAC regulations.
      Portfolio of Coursework       25%
      Case Study                         25%
      Oral Skills                          30%
      Specialist Vocational Skills   20%
 
 

Award

A FETAC Certificate of Achievement will be issued following the validation of results by FETAC and the appropriate credit under the National Framework of Qualifications will then be obtained by the candidate. 

National Framework of Qualifications: Course is a level 6 component award which qualifies as 1 credit towards FETAC level 6 Certificates and is a recognised module within the National Framework of Qualifications.
