FETAC Award in Applied Economics

This course provides the learner a foundation in Economic concepts which a business would encounter on a daily basis. The course gives an understanding of basic principles of Ecomonics, macroeconomic issues which are relevant in the operation of a firm, impacts of cost structures on the firm, market structures, and how to apply economic principles to a firm.

Entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements however learners should preferably have a good working knowledge of English, have a leaving certificate or equivalent qualification and / or relevant life and work experiences.

All assessments are carried out in accordance with FETAC regulations.
      Assignment 1      25%
      Assignment 2      25%
      Examination        50%
 
 

Award

A FETAC Certificate of Achievement will be issued following the validation of results by FETAC and the appropriate credit under the National Framework of Qualifications will then be obtained by the candidate. 

National Framework of Qualifications: Course is a level 6 component award which qualifies as 1 credit towards FETAC level 6 Certificates and is a recognised module within the National Framework of Qualifications.
