Refresher Occupational First Aid

In keeping with health and safety legislation and in order to ensure their knowledge and skills are up to date and their certification is current, all certified First Aiders must complete a 1 day refresher course every two years.

Where certification is more than 3 months out of date a person must re-do the full 3 day training course.

Programme Requirements


Participants must produce a copy of their current Occupational First Aid Certificate.

  • First Aid in the workplace
  • Patient Assessment 
  • Respiratory Emergencies
  • Cardiac first response
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Altered levels of consciousness
  • Musculosketal injuries
  • Burns and scalds, chemicals, electric shock 

Course Duration

  One day(9.30am - 5pm)

 
 

Certification


On successful completion of the course participants receive a certificate of attendance as FETAC does not issue refresher certificates. This must be maintained with their original certificate.
